For #51 of the #DLMChallenge #365moviesin365days on April 3rd I watched: Heat.
One of those big ones from the 90s (like A League of Their Own or The Fisher King) that I failed to enjoy prior to the #DLMChallenge. Hoo-hah!
Alright first thing’s first. This movie is good, but boy… is it LONG. There were lots of scenes where I felt the clock ticking. Again– everything was good, just “overlong” as Leonard Maltin might say.
A phenomenal cast really bring this film to life. There are so many great supporting characters that it’s hard to imagine they had the money after De Niro and Pacino‘s salary. Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Dennis Haysbert, William Fichtner, Ashley Judd, Ted Levine, Amy Brenneman, Tom Noonan, Natalie Portman. I mean, come on!
If this is a hole in your movie-going history, correct that today.
