For #57 of the #DLMChallenge #365moviesin365days on April 9th I watched: Predestination.
This was research for the screenplay I was writing at the time, and boy, did this school me in proper use of time travel. That draft hasn’t reached even half of the quality of this film.
This is a two-hander; meaning it’s a dual arc for both Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook’s characters. Each character has such depth because the film takes the time to delve into their backstories. And even if you’re not a fan of those slow burn type of films, you’ll appreciate it when this movie’s credits roll.
Main Crew:
Cinematographer: Ben Nott (Daybreakers, Chinese Zodiac)
Based on a Story by: Robert A. Heinlein (Starship Troopers, Destination Moon)
Written and Directed by: Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig (Daybreakers, The Big Picture)
Main Cast:
Ethan Hawke (Boyhood, Gattaca)
Sarah Snook (Jessabelle, Not Suitable for Children)
Noah Taylor (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Submarine)
