For #33 of the #DLMChallenge #365moviesin365days on March 20th I watched: A League of Their Own. This was the second film considered a classic of its time (the first was The Jerk) that I watched way after the fact.
This was the one that made me realize… “There must be some crazy gems available in the form of my gaping filmography holes!”
A League of Their Own is evocative of the time when I really began to dig into films. It was the first year I watched a film in the theaters (that honor goes to Honey, I Blew Up The Kid) and it truly made me yearn for that time.
Hands down a great film- excellent balance of comedic and dramatic elements with a well-developed story and characters.
