My Top Ten Most Anticipated Films of 2019

Okay, “Better late than never” has been my motto for the past year, but now that I have a new, “less-demanding” job, here’s some blog content! I must keep up with my 2019 goals.

Here are my most anticipated films of 2019. Let’s see how this compares to the eventual Top Ten List of 2019 in December…

I guarantee there will be others that come into my radar as award season draws near, but these are the (mostly) tentpole releases scheduled to hit in 2019. So, without further adieu:Read More »

Here’s What You Should Know About Super Smash Bros. Switch

Okay, there has been a lot of discussion over the past two weeks regarding the surprise  – but inevitable – announcement of Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch. Many have wondered if this new installment is just that, a new game or a Wii U/3DS enhanced port. Read on as to why this is most certainly a new game, what I’d like for game modes, and who WILL (and will NEVER) be a part of the newest roster of Super Smash Bros. Switch.

No, my life was consumed by something far more powerful: the desire to play video games. My gaming habits had diminished since the Gamecube had run its course and I found myself playing fewer video games. But as we all know, Kyle and I played so much Smash Bros. that my Hype Train began a-chuggin’.

Gardening 101

*Note: This was a post that I had meant to write months ago, immediately after the summer gardening season, but I never got around to it. So now, it’s a memorial to one of the most hard-working people that I have ever known.

This is for you, John “Jack” Caruso.

In my youth, my Father spent lots of time tending to our personal garden over the summer months in Northern Maine. My brother and I were however too lazy to help in any discernible way, and to subsequently learn a life lesson about hard work and dedication in the process. We sure did enjoy eating the fruits of his labor though!

New (and Recurring) Series in 2017

As my second year of writing on the blog comes to a close, I’m grateful to all of you out there who have supported me by reading the blog, commenting, and helping it grow from its meager beginnings to a mildly more popular site. I shattered my old view count for 2015, I intend to once again double the views from the previous year; which will be an astonishing goal to reach. Here are my views for the year 2016:

Which Series Are Returning?

My Cancer Story

Of course, this crucial part of my life and its documentation will continue into 2017. I hope this will be the year that the first draft is complete so I can begin the rewrite and release it as an autobiographical novel. This is one of my main goals for the New Year.Read More »

18- “Avengers” #52PickUp

Originally, the #52PickUp was only going to feature movies that meant something to me as a filmmaker, or solidified my particular tastes when it came to the medium. When I compiled my list late last year, I found that a lot of the films mentioned were more recent ones; and I had wanted more of my childhood/early teens represented.

So I took a lot of the recent ones like Inception out. But there is one recent one that I’d like to discuss due to its impact and resonance on some of my favorite types of events: Crossovers.

…And of course due to the imminent release of Captain America: Civil War (or as I like to call it, Avengers 2.5).

But here is the first Big Daddy of crossover events:
