Well, here we go again. I’m back reviewing older films regarded in some circles as “classics” – only now – I’m watching films that I have never before seen. That’s right, all of these films I’ll be viewing in 2020 are completely new to me. Some of these guilty omissions will surprise you.
The goal of this experiment is to determine whether or not these films stand the test of time while also matching my preconceived notions regarding their plot. Time shifts memories of things, especially when I had only watched a trailer a few times as a kid.

In fact, I hadn’t realized it had been five weeks since my last post until I sat down to write this cry for creative sanity. I’m not even certain how this post will do considering Facebook recently ruined the ability to hotlink automatically from WordPress.
Sure, I’ve been chipping away at the My Cancer Story rewrite when I’m able (the now vacant tentpole of this blog for two years), and I’ve been recording notes and elements for other projects (as I’m wont to do), but this past month has been one of the busiest ever let alone since I’ve moved to Los Angeles. I’m living my dream, but if I’m not too careful, I’ll tumble backward into someone else’s.
Luckily, the year wasn’t all low points. Up until this point, I had never traveled in any direction past where I visited my sister and her family: Plymouth, Connecticut. I’d been down there only twice: one for her wedding and once for my Aunt Marie’s Birthday the year prior, but I’d desired to go beyond this state. As a matter of fact, New York City had always been a dream of mine, and I had come close to applying to the New York Film Academy’s one-year Director’s Program before my Leukemia reared its ugly head. But I still knew that one day I would travel there and see the sights. I just didn’t know it would be so soon.
