14- “A Goofy Movie” #52PickUp 2017

For this week* I watched the animated father-son road trip film from Disney:

Poster 1 vhs
Oh, this cover brings back memories.

A Goofy Movie. One of the most heart-warming films about a father and son yet. Seriously. This film takes a bizarre world wherein animals are anthropomorphized and makes you care about a (for lack of a better term) goofy dog and his wannabe cool son.

A few years before this film, the show Goof Troop had launched on The Disney Channel. The show followed Goofy and his son Max, along with Goofy’s on again, off again antagonist Pete and his respective son, P.J.Read More »

Sleeping on a Purple Mattress (A Review)

*Before you ask, no, the mattress isn’t purple in color.*

*Also, I have NOT been endorsed by the Purple Mattress Company in any way, this is an impartial review (but I would totally take them up on it).*

I haven’t slept on a real mattress since I moved out West to Los Angeles in early November. For the first few months, I slept on a futon that my temporary roommate had in her apartment.

Now, don’t get me wrong, it was a comfy-ass futon, so that was NOT a problem. But when I ventured out into an actual rental with my new roommate, I spent the past month on the floor with only a custom-knit throw blanket my grandmother made me, and a brand new pillow from Target. I didn’t know when I’d ever get a bed.Read More »

47- I Don’t Feel Shame Anymore… Get Out!

The boys are back in town! Tim, Alex, and Jamie regroup to take on the dire in three very disturbingly dark films (A streeetch).

Unannounced spoilers for I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore at 6:43 (It’s on Netflix as of this episode posting!) Otherwise than that, it’s largely spoiler-free for that and the new horror, Get Out!

But we definitely spoil the DICK out of Shame, (and what a dick it is). WHAT?! Siri, how do I erase podcast descriptions?

“Okay, here’s what I found on ‘howling erect podcast prescriptions:'”

Noooooooo!

Then we talk the OSCARS 2017 and who won the Not Quite Hollywood Predictions Contest in a bonus segment!

Jamie– I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore (Starts at 00:00)

Tim– Get Out! (12:06)

Alex– Shame [Communal Film of the Week] (17:45)

#52PickUp– Maximum Overdrive (24:12)

OSCARS 2017– (29:05)
