Oh, this cover brings back memories.

A Goofy Movie. One of the most heart-warming films about a father and son yet. Seriously. This film takes a bizarre world wherein animals are anthropomorphized and makes you care about a (for lack of a better term) goofy dog and his wannabe cool son.

A few years before this film, the show Goof Troop had launched on The Disney Channel. The show followed Goofy and his son Max, along with Goofy’s on again, off again antagonist Pete and his respective son, P.J.Read More »

28- August Shirtless with Some Kids and an Old Dying Man

August is shirtless again! (Help us!) We attempt to focus on our topics as John brings us a question: Should Children’s films be darker in theme? This is where we really shit on other kids films. Also Kubo comes back up so SPOILERS!!

Then, August bitches about Citizen Kane’s place in the pantheon of film history, and finally, what’s better: 22 Jump Street or Zoolander 2 (Just kidding).

John– Children’s Films Should be Darker Again (Starts at 00:00)

August–   Citizen Kane sucks and the book “How to Watch a Movie” by: David Thomson   (15:33)

Jamie–  Really though: Are there any good comedy sequels?   (32:20)

Each odd-numbered episode we talk specific films, and each even-numbered episode we discuss topics regarding Hollywood and the things we’re passionate about (either way).

27- Kubo and the Two Cemetery Mans

This week we pare it down and only discuss two films, but all three of us have seen both! And yes, I said three because John makes his aforementioned return and we finally talk The Cemetery Man.

Also we delve deep into the most recent Laika release, Kubo and the Two Strings, then shit on the majority of children’s releases out there (well, mostly August does).

Kubo and the Two Strings– (Starts at 00:00)

The Cemetery Man– (Starts at 20:29)

Naturally SPOILERS for each film ahead!

Each odd-numbered episode we talk specific films, and each even-numbered episode we discuss topics regarding Hollywood and the things we’re passionate about (either way).
