I can’t believe it’s 2022 already. In some ways, it still feels like March of 2020. The past near-two years have been difficult for us all, and I’m not going to be hard on myself, especially since most of my 2020 goals have been achieved (see below). And yes, it has been a while since my last post. Thanks for noticing! Here are my goals (not resolutions) for the year 2022:

The Wayward Traveler Chronicles Day 6
“The Wayward Traveler Chronicles” will be a series of journal entries recording my trip across the country from Maine to California.
This day was the weirdest one for me yet. I wasn’t just “visiting” my friends and family, this time I was moving west. I’d been to Portland, saw friends both old and new, then went to Boston to spend some leisurely time with even more, and then saw my family in Connecticut, but this was the first day I had no more visits. It was do or die.
I thought about this notion in the shower this morning. I woke up to see the kids off for once (instead of sleeping well past their departure times). I set my alarm for six, and wouldn’t you know it? I woke up!

The Wayward Traveler Chronicles Day 5
“The Wayward Traveler Chronicles” will be a series of journal entries recording my trip across the country from Maine to California.
Day Five began a little earlier than yesterday. I woke up at 9 instead of 10:30. Immediately, I began to play with Connor, spending this extra day in Connecticut by enjoying every moment with all of the kids.
After we “walked” Connor, I finished Day 4‘s post, while eating breakfast: a blueberry bagel and a coffee, then we got ready and headed to pick up a few things for lunch and dinner. I’d been eating like a fatass, so I decided to grab some vegetables and made myself a salad.
My sister’s the superintendent of Sunday school at their church, so first we had to make a stop at the church to tidy up a bit. My job was to keep Connor company.
